What would you do with this? Lydia posted a hypothetical question awhile back that I didn't have a good answer for. She asked, "don't you have so many new techniques you want to try that you don't know which one to do first?" I didn't. I've been so "head down" trying to figure out the projects for my upcoming classes and hosting my family that I haven't had time to just be purpose-lessly creative. Today the afternoon sprawled before me, like Hobbes taking his afternoon nap, and I reveled in the solitude and let myself unwind.
Paper weaving was something I saw while I was surfing splitcoast or someone's blog, and so I decided to give it a whirl. Using the In Color palette made it foolproof, and it helped use up the scraps that I'm forever keeping around "just in case." I really like the end result, and I really enjoyed the process. But what to use it for now? Suggestions welcome...

this could be used as:
a cover for a scrapbook
a wall decoration (if put in a frame)
a place mat( if big enough)or to -ut under a vase (if you laminate it)
This is so cool!! You know what it might be fun for - a tiny rug under a stamped and cut out chair!! You could just use narrower strips.. It looks like the potholders we used to make in the 70's. Aah - I miss that. Or, since you're among the coffee elite now, you could make a cute little "coaster" - maybe fray the edges, and put a stamped coffee cup on top of it! Oh, I just love it! PS - stoked you're a C&H fan!!!
